Southwest Airlines has extended its bookable flight schedule, allowing travelers to purchase seats for travel now through August 3, 2026.
Next year’s summer season is poised to be a busy one for the low-cost carrier, which will launch inaugural service at Alaska’s Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport on May 15, 2026, connecting the state’s largest city with Denver and Las Vegas via once-daily flights through the summer.
Southwest is also boosting year-over-year frequencies on eight routes in Las Vegas and will launch the only nonstop flight between Las Vegas and Cancun, Mexico, on June 4, 2026, along with new flights connecting Sin City with Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Additionally, the airline is expanding its footprint in California, Florida and Texas, including cities such as Austin, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Diego, among others. For example, a new San Diego-Boston route will debut on June 4, 2026.
“In designing our summer 2026 schedule, we examined industry trends and identified locations—like Las Vegas, Orlando, and San Diego—where we are able to provide customers more choices when they’re booking travel,” Adam Decaire, Senior Vice President Network Planning and Network Operations Control at Southwest Airlines, said in a statement.
“Additionally, we’re boosting service in locations where we’ve always had a strong presence to offer customers even more service than ever before in those cities.”
