This fall, budget travelers will have the chance to score up to three one-way flights with Spirit Airlines’ newest bonus points promotion.
Through November 20, the low-cost carrier is offering passengers 5,000 Free Spirit bonus points per roundtrip flight any day of the week, as well as an additional 2,500 bonus points for roundtrip flights completed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday.
That means travelers can earn up to 7,500 bonus points, which the airline says can be redeemed for as many as three one-way flights. Passengers would just need to pay the taxes and fees on each ticket. Plus, each Free Spirit member on a reservation will earn the bonus points.
Spirit has been revamping its loyalty program in recent months, offering more perks and promotions as it tries to attract more premium fliers and increase its revenue. The carrier is currently in the middle of a second Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring in less than one year. Spirit made significant progress in the bankruptcy proceedings by securing an extra $475 million from its existing shareholders.
“Our Guests can go even further this fall with this lucrative new offer that delivers significant rewards and value,” said Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines. “Contrary to recent chatter about us, this is one of the most rewarding times to fly Spirit, with one-way point redemptions starting at only 2,500 points to use toward major savings this holiday season and into 2026.”
To score the free extra points, travelers must first register for the airline’s Free Spirit loyalty program. Then they must register for the promotion on the carrier’s website. After that, travelers can simply book flights between October 2 and November 20 and let the bonus points roll in.
