VIVA Cruises is adding a second ship to its new premium VIVA Boutique collection.
VIVA UNIQUE is slated to debut on the Po River in Italy in 2027, joining forthcoming sister ship VIVA BEYOND, which is scheduled to launch next year on the Seine River in France. The two ships will make up the fleet of VIVA Boutique, the company’s newly announced premium brand.
VIVA UNIQUE will be inspired by Italy, drawing on the country’s culinary exploration, art, culture and lifestyle. The ship will take travelers to hidden gems and lesser-traveled ports of call, including the islands of Mazzorbo and Burano, as well as Chioggia and Polesella, with optional excursions to Murano, Torcello, Verona and Bologna.
“Italy has always held a special place in my heart,” says Andrea Kruse, chief executive officer of VIVA Cruises. “With VIVA UNIQUE, we’re not just launching a ship—we’re creating a floating experience that celebrates the soul of Italian culture, cuisine and craftsmanship. It’s about offering our guests something truly personal, immersive and unforgettable.”
The ship will have three distinct dining venues. Guests can indulge in Italian-inspired fine dining at MOMENTS, or enjoy a more casual atmosphere at VIVA’s Trattoria. The main Riverside restaurant will offer international gourmet cuisine and regional specialties.
More than half of the cabins on VIVA UNIQUE will be suites, including the newly introduced Unique Suites spanning up to 323 square feet. The ship will also have a wellness area, fitness room and sun deck with pool.
