Windstar Cruises is unveiling new itineraries in the Canary Islands.
From November 2026 through January 2027, the recently renovated Wind Spirit will be island-hopping through the region with new 9-night voyages. For the first time, Windstar will be visiting Porto Santo (Portugal) and El Hierro (Spain).
Travelers can enjoy more immersive ports, upgraded onboard spaces and new marina access that allows them to splash into the Atlantic Ocean. Activities range from camel rides through Lanzarote’s dunes, toboggan runs and fireworks in Madeira, stargazing in La Palma and hikes along El Hierro’s coast.
“We’re always looking to craft new itineraries that show off the authentic heart of a destination, and these updated Canary Islands voyages do just that,” says Jess Peterson, director of destination experience and itinerary planning for Windstar Cruises. “By adding ports like Porto Santo and El Hierro—places larger ships can’t easily visit—we’re giving our guests a chance to experience a quieter, more natural side of the Canaries, with all the comforts of a Windstar yacht.”
Wind Spirit is fresh off a major makeover. It features newly updated suites and staterooms, a reimagined spa and fitness area and refreshed dining and lounge areas. The vessel will also debut Windstar’s marina platform at select ports, giving guests a chance to paddleboard, swim kayak and lounge right off the back of the yacht.
Guests who book by August 31 can take advantage of Windstar’s Early Booking Offer, which includes a free all-inclusive experience valued at more than $1,300 per stateroom on a 7-day cruise. The perks include WiFi; unlimited select wine, beer and cocktails; gratuities; and an onboard credit of up to $200 per stateroom.
Windstar is also offering a new Pay Now, Save More promotion. Travelers who pay in full at the time of booking can save an extra 5 percent off their cruise fare.
